Vocab Assignment: The Kingdom of Ranchers

The weather was nice when I opened my eyes in the morning that day. I woke up and did the daily. I brushed my teeth and took a bath. After taking a bath, I stepped into the kitchen and found a batch of bread. I took a slice of it and put margarine on it. I felt so full for breakfast then I realized that there was a collection of pictures that my friend gave me the previous day. He was going around the world for about a year and the pictures were all of the places that he had visited. I remembered that I just watched the Jumper movie the previous day, a movie about a person who could travel the world just by imagining the place. Inspired by that I closed my eyes and tried to think about the pictures that I held. Maybe it was my imagination or not, but suddenly I found myself covered by a hedge of bushes. I tried to figure out what happened but then I saw an army of soldiers pacing forward, led by a big captain with thick moustache over his lips. They seemed leading a kind of parade, to secure the area so there would be no bad things happen. I tried to convince myself that that was just my imagination, but everything felt so vivid and I could clearly see that it was not just a black and white scene. Everything was real yet so miraculous since I saw a flock of birds on the parade and they talked to each other, sang with human voice. Nevertheless the people who watched the parade seemed like they didn’t care and thought it was normal for them. I was puzzled and began to take a step and follow the parade. A few minutes later I passed a band of musicians playing music following the parade. Again, I was puzzled since they were all dogs! The guitarist was a Golden retriever dog, the drummer was a Labrador dog, and the one that really puzzled me yet amazed me was the vocalist, which was a pit bull dog! And it was rapping like the real Pitbull singer. I couldn’t believe what I saw. I tried to find out where I was that time until I met a crowd of spectators. I asked them about where it was and what kind of parade was it. They laughed and told me that it was the Parade of Grinning Animals, it was held to thank God for the growth of livestock in the Kingdom of Ranchers. I was still confused and took another step and continue to follow the parade. A troop of monkeys was dancing and their clothes were really attracting me and I didn’t realize that there was a hole in front of me and I fell into it. I was screaming as loud as I could but nobody heard me. Oddly, the hole was getting bigger the deeper it got. And the bottom of it was a large sea with a school of whales waiting for me. I couldn’t avoid it and I fell into one of them, straightly into its mouth. I screamed and didn’t want to open my eyes. I screamed louder and louder until I got a splash of water and I said to myself, “Am I beneath the ocean?” But then I got a second splash and I opened my eyes and I found myself covered by a wet blanket. I pulled out myself from the blanket and I saw my mother with a pail of water. She was angry that I had not woken at 1 pm! And she said that my friend was here to give me a collection of pictures of places that he had visited around the world.
